The most imporant scene in this episode is when they found the tardis as it set the scene for decades of more doctor who episodes to come out.

The genre is sci fi, you can tell this as we see them going on a rocket type of ship called the tardis aswell as they're being more advanced technology than what was known as accesible in the 60s.Which shows its science based but nevetheless fiction.

In the episode doctor who an unearhtly child we can see that there was not one bame character wihtin the series and only shows caucasians as actors. This is not suprising as within the 60s, England had different views on cultures and anyhting that was broadcasted as not common. This has changed aqs we see Doctor who now giving people of different races, ethnicities and genders chances.

Social class is represented as through a lens of a middle-class person living in England in the 60s, as teachers Ian and babrbara are not seen as wealthy but also not suffering or in poverty, they have a stable job and cars in the 60s which implys that they have a steady income.
