      What is conglomerate ownership and how does it link to Black Widow?

  Conglomerate ownership is when a large co-operation owns many smaller companies in diverse sectors, for example disney owning marvel studios allowing them to control production which is seen with the movie Black Widow.

3) Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?

Aspects that show us this was a big-budget blockbuster movie is the fact that it had very well-known actors on our front screen to show us that their budget was big to hire them. Ontop of this it shows it being a marvel production who are known for producing blockbuster films especially around the summer period which is also shown with the subtitile being 'out July nineth'.

4) How was Black Widow promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign and why they were effective in promoting the film.

Trailers & MCU Branding:

  • The film was promoted through action-packed trailers and strong association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which was effective because it built excitement and attracted Marvel’s large, loyal fanbase by presenting the movie as an essential MCU story.

  • Star Power & Media Appearances:

Scarlett Johansson and the cast promoted the film through interviews and press events, which was effective because her popularity and long history in the MCU drew in both fans and general audiences.

Social Media & Disney+ Release Strategy:

Online campaigns and the Disney+ Premier Access option increased visibility and accessibility, making the film easy to watch and widely discussed, especially during the pandemic.

  The production budget for black widow the film was 200 million dollar and it made around 379.8 million dollars.

I wouldnt consider Black widow a succesful hollywood blockbuster  as compared to other hollywood blockbusters the amount it made is insignifcant to other movies.

8) Black widow was given an age rating of 12a as it had a small amount of violence within it thatd bve suitable for a child to watch under 12 only with a parent.

Audience interaction is an important aspect of modern film marketing as it broadens the fans that like to watch the films and it sets a name for that film and makes people more eager to watch it.

                                                             In this poster we can see a young boy from African descent, I can denote from this poster this boy is in  poverty due to the title saying 'dig titles not graves' which connotes that he is unable to have the basic human necessities provided to him and is accustomed and used to more  people dying before their time then viewing basic human necessities as luxuries.
