 1. Three Camera Shots

     
This a six shot and it is to show the audience a group call had between the collective, it is impactful because it shows us what is happening within the conversation.

This specific shot called  a close up. It's purpose is to show the audience the emotion on her face to help us further understand her as a person.




This shot is called an extreme close up. The director implemented this to show us the severity and pressure this man is in right now to fix what has happened within the situation.It makes the audience understand the severity of the situation.



2) Pick one camera angle that is used in the scene, take a screenshot and explain the effect it has on the audience. 


The affect the birdseye camera angle has on the audience is that it helps us see the full surroundings and allows us to feel as if we are in the same position as the actor. It brings a more realistic feeling towards the audience.


3. Pick one aspect of mise-en-scene from the scene, take a screenshot and explain what connotations are being communicated to the audience.

The surroundings of the man and women show us that they are in a lab like space, as they run around frantically. They show the setting and how they are in a lab. It shows us that they are in a hectic enviroment and struggling to acheive their end goal and try end it peacefully.

Mis en scene

 In the first eight minutes of Stranger Things , the costume, lighting, and setting all work together to create a strong atmosphere and give the audience clues about the story. The boys wear typical 1980s clothes like jumpers, jeans, and puffer jackets, which shows  that the show is set in the past and suggests a feeling of childhood, normal life, and nostalgia, helping the audience connect with them as regular kids. The lighting in the Hawkins lab is dark, with flickering lights and shadows, which shows (denotation) that something is wrong and gives the audience a creepy, tense feeling (connotation), warning us that danger is near. The setting switches between the scary lab and the boys' cosy basement. The lab shows (denotation) a cold, secretive place, while the basement shows a warm, safe space where the boys are just having fun. Denotations and connations

                                                             In this poster we can see a young boy from African descent, I can denote from this poster this boy is in  poverty due to the title saying 'dig titles not graves' which connotes that he is unable to have the basic human necessities provided to him and is accustomed and used to more  people dying before their time then viewing basic human necessities as luxuries. The dull background suggests he does not come from wealth and is living in conditions which are not suitable for him to be living in.
